Maddison Winegardner is here! She was born October 22,2011 at 5:55pm after 42 hours of labor!!! She weighed 7pounds 11ounces, pretty small for our family. She is 19 inches long and cute as a button as you can see from the pics. She started nursing very shortly after she was born. Amy and Maddy are doing great! As Amy's Midwife put it, "you are a Birthing Warrior"!! She never cried, she handled her contractions amazingly. But after 36 hours of labor that wouldn't progress past 7 centimeters, she said she was ready to go to the hospital and get an epidural and some Pitocin. I will let Amy tell the story, but I repeat she was nothing less than amazing! The pics of Amy are just like she looked no makeup, coming hair or anything. Isn't she beautiful! Here are some pics of Maddy when was under an hour old! With Daddy!

Congratulations Grandma!! I have been waiting for this post! She's gorgeous, and I'm not surprised that Amy was awesome at labor, she is one tough girl!
So excited and happy for you all!
She is beautiful!!!!! Amy you are a warrior. When I was at a 3, and on pitocin I asked for an epidural. 42 hours and all the way at 7 1/2! You are so tough!!!!
She is soooo pretty. She looks healthy and so alert!! She doesn't look like she just came out! She is so cute! And Mike looks really comfortable with her. You are so beautiful. Love you!!!
She's precious! I was starting to wonder if she had her since there wasn't any posting for a couple of days. The pictures are great - congrats to the Winegardners!
By the way - it was great to see you guys at Mindy's reception; whirlwind of a day but so nice to see everyone!
I knew something had to be up when Amy wasn't posting on her blog. Maddy is so alert!! Look at her little eyes looking around. She is so cute and looks far chubbier and bigger than an almost 8 pound baby.
She is adorable! That is great everyone is healthy! Holy cow 42 hours! That's amazing. Can't wait to hear the whole story on Amy's blog
All of this sounds AMAZING! Amy looks beautiful and she will be able to sleep today. I am so glad the labor is over and she is here and healthy. She looks so alert and awake. I am so happy for all of them and I love you Sharon, that is so hard to watch a child suffer and be unable to do anything. Such a perfect little girl. May our Heavenly Father continue to bless and watch over them. I love you all and Grandpa says isn't she something!!! So special. hugs and kissed
Wahoo!! I second everything Jessica said!! What a beautiful baby and I'm glad the new little family is doing well. Congrats on the new grandbaby!! :)

Thanks for sharing! I've been stalking Amy's blog... mostly hoping that you would post pictures, since I know she's busy. I'll make sure Marie gets to see these, too!
awe, such sweet pictures. Amy is so in love with her little girl! Congratulations!!!!
I know it sounds wied but she looks so clean. She is the sweetest ,just like a peace of heaven.
I want to sing that your amazing song to Amy tell her I love her. Love Anna
Oh my gosh! I can't believe that is their baby. I have seen Amy hold so many babies, like her nieces and it's crazy that this one is hers! They both look beautiful. Maddy's nose reminds me of Mike's picture as a kid that Amy has in her sewing room. I was so worried about them when I heard she had to go to the hospital. 42 hours is such a long time! Amy is amazing. Congrats! Love you!
Congratulations guys! She is beautiful. I love that you can already see her eye brows and lashes and she is so alert and wide eyed already. Of course, Amy looks as beautiful as ever and we are just so happy for all and your precious little miracle.
