I hope no one thinks I don't take guns seriously, I do! I just thought I would make it more fun with the title. The gun we are using is the same gun Clint Eastwood used in his first Dirty Harry movie. We have owned our gun for a couple of months now and tomorrow we are going to get our concealed weapons liscense (no we are not going to carry it around, we are doing this IF we wanted to carry it in the car) so we thought it was about time I actually shot it. I am so glad we did. It has felt really creepy to me to have it in our house and to hear Steve take it out of our safe, and to hear him say he is going shooting. After going out today, I feel a lot more comfortable, and want to go and practice more. It doesn't seem creepy anymore. Here are a couple more pics.Me loading the gun

Pretty cool. Shad and I always talk about going, but never do. He goes with his buddies, I just am usually home. Good for you guys.

I will have to show these pictures to Ren -- I think the only thing he loves more than me are his guns! Way to go for jumping right in there and learning.

Man, I'm sorry Mom but that just looked bizarre! Guns and you guys just didn't fit to me. I'm glad you went out and shot it, I had the same experience with our gun. And I think it's really irresponsible to not know how to shoot if it's going to be in your house! That's just asking for an accident. So I'm glad. It is fun, isn't it? Who would've thought shooting a gun could be so much fun! I love it! A little tip, even though I'm no expert. I noticed you're both leaning back a bit in the pics. I don't know why, but it's better to lean forward a bit, instead. Maybe to help absorb the kickback? I don't know. I mentioned it to Greg and he said we did the same thing when we first started. He has a cousin who was in Special Forces and told us to do that.

SO cool, you are so tough. John wants me to get a gun so bad... I said If I can get a pink one I will...well they actually sell pink ones! LOL.

Also, I am SO amazed at your trip! I am so happy you got to go there and all the beautiful sights and things and to play with meg and greg and all that CHOCOLATE and I mean, wow. SO jealous/happy for you! SO SO cool!PLUS I have to say how beautiful you are! You radiate, that might sound odd, but i think you'll get what I mean and not think its weird. you are so gorgeous, you have such a cute and sassy style, I just love you to pieces. I think my favorite pics of your trip were when you were skipping, everyone should do more skipping. Love you!

I've looked at this post a bunch...guess I never commented! That always happens. Anyway- the whole gun business is so scary to me. I'm glad you are learning how to use it since you have it in the house. I am just so scared of guns. I know, I know....guns don't kill people, people kill people...but still. I swear there are so many accidents when it comes to guns. Anyway..........cute pictures and stuff. I love you! I miss you!

I am glad to hear that you have learned how to shoot the guns in your house. I was raised in a home that always had guns and we learned form a very young age to have a lot of respect for them. At one time I was known as dead-eye by my family because I was always straight on the target. Thanks for your email. It is easy to be kind to Danielle. We love her very much. Have a great weekend. Looking forward to seeing you at Danielle and Clayton's graduation.
love you. bye now.
